表达数量， no more 是个修饰语；表达程度，做状语（参见词条 P.696 ）。而 not any more 这个状语与 no longer 或 not any louger 同义，都是用来表达时间的。
例如：
There's no more bread left. 面包没剩下。（ no more 是修饰语用作定语）
He is no more a genius than I am. 我个是天才，他也不见得是天才。（ no more 是个状语）
Annie doesn't live here any more. 安妮不住在这里了。 （ =She no longer lives here. ）
People cannot close their eyes to the facts any more. 大家再也不能闭着眼睛不看事实了。（改用 not any longer 也可以）
比较：
I'll go there no more. 我再也不去那里了。（是书面文体）
I won, t go there any more. 我再也不去那里了。（是口头语体）
