表达空间，这两个名同是同义，都作“空地”或“空位”讲，但前者多半是特定的，比较狭义；后者则通常是指一般的，比较广义。
例如：“ Is there any room in the boat? ”—“ Yes ， that place inthe corner is empty. ”“船上有空位吗？”——“有，那边转角处还空着。”
比较：
This is the place where we play tennis. 这里就是我们打网球的场地。（是专指的）
There is lots of room to play tennis. 打网球的场地有的是。（是泛指的）
