He looked at me reproachfully.

WARNING

In standard English, you do not use me as the indirect object of a sentence when 'I' is the subject. You do not say, for example, 'I got me a drink'. You say 'I got myself a drink'.
I poured myself a small drink.
I had set myself a time limit of two years.

In standard English, you do not use me as part of the subject of a sentence. You do not say, for example, 'Me and my friend are leaving'. You say 'My friend and I are leaving'.

Father and I both saw him.

'it's me'

If you are asked 'Who is it?', you can say 'It's me', or just 'Me'.
'Who is it?' ---'It's me, Frank Rogers.'

It used to be considered correct to say 'It is I', but no one says this now.

In conversation, if you want to emphasize that something applies to you rather than to anyone else, you can say 'it's me...' followed by a relative clause. For example, instead of saying 'She wants me', you can say 'It's me she wants'. Note that you do not say 'It's I she wants'.
As long as it's me who's doing it, then it's all right.

In sentences like this, you can say 'I'm the one...' instead of 'it's me...'.
I'm always the one who's got to do the talking.
I'm the one who gets sued if things don't go the way they should go.

If someone asks who did something, you can say 'Me' or 'I did'. You do not say 'I'.
'I'm all for decent reserve.' ---'Who mentioned ''decent''?' ---'I did.'
