| 释义 | 1．get 的过去分词 gotten 除了在 ill-gotten 等词语以外现在只用在美国，在英国只用 got。 2．get him（或 you 等）...和 get...for him（或 you 等）意思相同。例如：I asked him to get me tea (=get tea for me). 3．get 后面接宾语和不定式作“劝服而使……”解。例如：I will get him to teach me. 这用法多用在英国，在美国通常不用 get 而用 have，那不定式没有 to，如 I will have him teach me。 4．get 后面接不定式或现在分词都作“最后做到……”解，如 I soon got to know him very well 和 We soon got talking together。用不定式比用现在分词普通。I am sorry I did not get to see you when you were in town last week 里的 did not get to see you 是“（原来想见你而）不曾见到你”。 比较下面三句： We soon got to talk together. I am preparing an important report, and I must take care not to get it done carelessly. 第一句和第二句里那做 cut 的行为的并不是 I，第三句和第四句里那做 do(ne) 的行为的就是 I。第一句和第三句里的 get 作“使得”解，是有意志的，第二句和第四句里的 get 是没有意志的。 6．假使把下面各句里的 got 省去，全句的意思不变： I have got a new cap. I have got a cold. I have got to do it. It has got to be done. 这样用法的 have got 多少有些口语性质，下面几点该注意： （1）即使在美国也用 have got 而不用 have gotten。 （2）不用在助动词后面，如不可说 I may have got to do it，该把 got 删去。比较下面每组里的两句： （3）have got 在语法上属于完成时态，所以不可说 have had got 或 had had got，该把 got 省去。 （4）在 have a bath, have a chat, have a dance, have a look, have a smoke, have a swim, have a wash 等表达方式里不可在 have 后面加上 got。 （5）had got to...（不定式）很不普通，如通常不说 I had got to do it，最好把 got 删去。had got to...（不定式）用在疑问句里更不普通，如通常不说 Had you got to do it? 最好把 got 删去或把全句改作 Did you have to do it? （6）I have got a new cap 和 I have got to do it 等句子里的 have 是助动词，got 是过去分词，但在口语里有时把 have 省去而只用 got。 |
