| 释义 | 1．hear 的宾语后面的不定式没有 to。例如：I often hear her sing. 但假使把 hear 改作被动语态，那不定式便该有 to。例如：She is often heard to sing. 2．I often hear her sing 跟 I often hear her singing 意思相仿。在有“故意听……”的意思的时候通常用不定式。例如：I should like to hear her sing. I heard her sing 不论指“故意听”或“偶然听”都有“我听着她继续唱”的意思，I heard her singing 有“她原来在唱，我偶然听到”的意思。 3．hear him 是“听见他”，不论说听见他讲话、唱歌、读书、走路、敲门都可以。hear of him 是“听说过有他那个人”，不必真正在耳朵里听到，即使在书报上看到也可以。可以说 I have heard of the hero through the press（我曾经在报纸上读到这个英雄）。 4．下面两句意思不同： I heard her singing in her room. （我听见她在她的房间里唱歌。） I heard that she was singing in her room. （我听说她在她的房间里唱歌。） 5．I hear (that) he is in England 和 I have heard (that) he is in England 里的 hear 和 have heard 都作“听说”解。 6．hear from 作“接到……寄来的信”解，后面接指人或指地方的词都可以，如 I hear from him every week 和 I have not heard from England for several months。Be sure to let me hear from you 是“请你一定要让我接到你的信。”就是“请你一定要写信给我。”但在复信的开首提及接到对方的信，习惯不用 hear from，如不说 I have heard from you，该说 I have received your letter 等。 hear from...that（或how 等）...不一定指“收到……的信”，如 I have heard from your father that you are in Beijing 和 He soon heard from his sister how their parents were getting along 里的 heard from 不一定指收到信，也可以指听人说。 7．I hear say that there will be an election soon 和 You have no doubt heard tell of the United Nations 里的 say 和 tell 都是没有 to 的不定式，似乎只有 say 和 tell 可以这样用。 8．hear 的宾语后面有时接过去分词。例如：I have often heard you spoken of as a model student. 9．说“听懂英语”不可说 hear English，该说 understand English when (it is) heard。几年前有些美国人主张造出 aud 表达“听懂”的意思，也主张用 aural 或 auditory 表达“被听到的”的意思：如 aud English, aural English 和 auditory English。把 aural 跟 auditory 比较起来，aural 顺口些，但有一个大缺点：它的发音跟 oral 一样。 |
