| 释义 | 1．reply 作“回答”解是及物动词。例如：He had nothing to reply.和 He did not know what to reply.作“答复”解是不及物动词，如 He did not reply 和 He did not know how to reply。不可用作“答复（人）”，“答复（信件）”，“答复（问题）”等解，如不可说： He did not reply me. He did not reply my letter. He did not reply my question. 每句里的 reply 后面该加上 to。 注意下面每组里的两句意思不同： 2．reply 后面不可接指人的词和以 that 引导的从句，如不可说 He replied her that he should be glad to learn what she thought about his plan，该把 her 删去，或在 her 的前面加上 to。 3．关于 reply 和 answer 的不同，参见 answer 2 4．商业复信的开首往往用 In reply to your letter...，Replying to your letter...或...in reply we wish to state...。在一般通信里该避免。 |
