| 释义 | 1．advise him 是“劝告他”，advise with him 是“跟他商量”，现在不很普通。 2．advise 有时用作“劝人采用……”解，如 I will not advise such a course of action 和 The doctor advised artificial respiration。advise against 作“劝人不采用……”解。例如：I advise against such a course of action. advise 后面接动名词，不接不定式，如可以说 He advises trying once more，trying 不可改用to try。 3．说“劝某人……”，在指人的词的后面用不定式。例如：He advised her to read carefully. 说“劝某人不……”，在指人的词的后面用 not 和不定式或 against 和动名词都可以，如 He advised her not to read carelessly 和 He advised her against reading carelessly 或 He advised her against careless reading。 4．advised（劝告）后面有时接以 that 引导的从句，那从句里的动词通常用虚拟现在式。例如：I advised that he write (不用wrote) the report very carefully. advised 和 that 的中间加上 him 也可以，但不很普通。 5．下面两句都可以说： He advised me what to do. Will you advise me which to buy? 把 me 省去也可以，但不很普通。 6．advise 在公文和商业文件里往往用作“通知”或“报告”解。例如： We will advise you in a day or two. They have advised us of the arrival of the goods. (of 偶尔省去) They have advised the arrival of the goods. We are pleased to advise you that things are improving. 这用法在一般文字里该避免。 7．You would be well advised to...（不定式）作 I think you should...解，是英国公文里的陈套语。 |
