这两个形容词的意义基本相同，都作“统统”或“全部”讲，但不一定能通用：前者含有“全数”的义蕴，可以修饰复数名词，而后者含有“整体”的义蕴，只能修饰单数名词，尤其是那些抽象名词（参见词目 44 、 45 、 46 和 47 ）。
