in respect of 这个短语介词作“在……方面”或“就……而 论”讲（参见词条 P.873 ）， in ／ with respect to 这个短语介词作“关于”或“至于”讲，不容混淆（注：在英语里却没有 out of respect of ／ to 这样的短语介词）。
例如：
In respect of strength, no country is superior to the third world as whole. 就实力而论，没有那一国能比得上整个第三世界。
We must have a talk in ／ with respect to their dispute. 关于他们之间的纠纷，我们该谈谈了。
