释义 | I A speaker or writer uses I to refer to himself or herself. I is used as the subject of a verb. It is always written as a capital letter. I shall be leaving soon. I like your dress. You can also use I as part of the subject of a verb. For example, you can say 'My friend and I are going to Sicily'. Note that you mention the other person first. You do not say 'I and my friend are going to Sicily'. My mother and I stood beside the road and waited. My colleagues and I have created a new programme of higher education.
