Note that you use a 'to'-infinitive, not an '-ing' form, after this expression. ◊ used as a verb If you have no objection to doing something, you can say that you don't mind doing it. I don't mind walking. You do not say that you 'do not mind to do' something. You can indicate that you do not object to a situation or proposal by saying 'I don't mind'. 'Do you want me to go and do it?' ---'I don't mind, if you want to.' If the public thinks of me as Alf, I don't mind. It was raining, but he didn't mind. Note that you do not use 'it' after mind in sentences like these. |
