'make up one's mind'


When someone decides to do something, you can say that they make up their mind to do it.
Egged on by Iago, Othello makes up his mind to kill Desdemona.
She made up her mind to write to Teddy Boylan.

Note that you use a 'to'-infinitive, not an '-ing' form, after this expression.


used as a verb


If you have no objection to doing something, you can say that you don't mind doing it.
I don't mind walking.

You do not say that you 'do not mind to do' something.

You can indicate that you do not object to a situation or proposal by saying 'I don't mind'.
'Do you want me to go and do it?' ---'I don't mind, if you want to.'
If the public thinks of me as Alf, I don't mind.
It was raining, but he didn't mind.

Note that you do not use 'it' after mind in sentences like these.
