 ♣ particular, especial, special
　这三个词的共同意思是“特殊的”。其区别是：especial强调特别的、非同寻常的；special强调专门的或特意的；particular强调事物的独特性。special和especial作“特别的”解时，意思相同，两者可以换用，但special比especial更常用。例如：
