| 释义 | 1．关于 though 和 although 的不同，下面几点该注意： （1）though 可以用作副词，作“但是”解。但 although 不可，如 He said he would come, he didn't, though 里的 though 不可改作 although。 （2）as though 中的 though 不可改作 although。参见 as 18 （3）although 比 though 正式而语气重，不及 though 通俗。 （4）although 所引导的从句，通常指事实而不指设想，如下面第一句里用 though，第二句里用 although： He would not be unhappy though he should have to live alone. （他即使不得不独自居住也不会不快乐。） He was not unhappy although he had to live alone. （他虽然不得不独自居住，却并不不快乐。） 下面两句里的 though 不可改作 although： Let's not defer the trip though it rain (不用 rains) tomorrow. Though everybody desert (不用 deserts) you, I will not. 2．下面三句意思相仿： Though he lives alone, he is happy. Though he lives alone, yet he is happy. He lives alone, but he is happy. 注意不可说Though he lives alone, but he is happy。though..., but...是错误的。though..., nevertheless...和 though..., still...都可以用，但都不及 though..., yet...普通。 3．可以说 Though alone，he is happy 和 Though annoyed，I consented。alone 前面省去 he is, annoyed 前面省去 I was。注意下面两句都不可说： Though loving him, I cannot help him. Though disliking the work, he had to do it. though loving 和 though disliking 都不可说，因为 though I was loving 和 though he was disliking 都不可说。该把 loving 改作 I love，把 disliking 改作 he disliked。 4．比较下面每组里的两句： 每组里的第二句比第一句语气重，注意第二句里的 child 或 masterpiece 前面没有 a。 |
