这两个形容词是同义，都作“可行的”或“行得通的”讲，但前者体现客观原因（参见词目 681 ），后者则体现主观原因。
例如：
That mountain pass is practicable only in summer. 那段山路只在夏季才能通行。
Is it practicable to try to grow crops in deserts? 在沙漠地带种庄稼能行吗？
I don't think his plan workable. 我认为，他的计划行不通。
The mine here is no longer workable. 这口矿井无法再开采了。
