这两个形容词远非同义：前者是作“可想而知的”或“足以推断的”讲，多半用于与法律有关的场合；后者则是“冒昧的”和“自以为是的”的意思，与法律无关。
例如：
This case cannot be tried on merely presumptiveevidence. 这件案子不能只凭个人臆测来审理。
Until the will is read, your role as heir to the estate is presumptive. 你能不能成为遗产的继承人要等到审查了遗嘱之后才能肯定。
