前者是副词，后者是名词，不容混淆（注：美国英语往往把 anyplace 当作 anywhere 使用，但许多英语词典并没有把 anyplace 列为副词来编。参见词目 101 和 102 ）。
例如：
You won't find perfection anywhere in that country. 在那个国家里你找不出象样的地方。
