表达人身的健康，这两个形容词几乎可以通用，所不同的是：前者总是指经常的现象（参见词目 425 和 427 ），而后者则多半是指一时的或某一时期的现象。
例如：
Nancy is quite bealthy although she has a slight cold at the moment. 虽然一时染上了轻微的感冒，南希的身体还算健康。
Your grandfather is healthy for his age. 就年龄而论，你祖父的身体还算是健康的。
比较：
The children here are quite healthy. 这里的儿童都长得健康。（他们一向如此。）
I hope you're quite well. 我祝你身体健康。（估计他的身体不那么健康。）
