词组 reward
释义 reward
The usual idiom with this verb calls for your being rewarded for something done, with or sometimes by something desirable, and by an agent, which need not be human. Thus the by construction can either indicate the reward or its giver. Both by uses do not, of course, occur in the same sentence.
