1) “就…而言”。

• price-wise在价格上
• weather-wise就天气而言

2) “按照…方式”。

• clockwise顺时针方向
• lengthwise按长度算，沿着长边的方向

3) “像…那样”。

• austrich-wise像鸵鸟那样遇到危险就缩头

4) wise 已经不是后缀，仍然保持“聪明多智”的词义，表示“在…方面有一套办法”。
