　按照传统语法badly是不能用在feel, smell之后的，但在美式英语中确有将badly用如bad而放在feel之后作表语的，不过有人认为此时的badly是形容词。例如：
　I felt badly about your leaving so soon.　我对你这么早就走感到非常遗憾。
　这种用法主要用在表示精神方面难过、内疚、不安，而在表示“身体不舒服”时还是要用bad.
