 ♣ interesting, interested
　这两者分别是由interest的过去分词和现在分词而来的形容词，其区别是：
1. interested有被动意义，意为“感兴趣的”，其主语或修饰的名词只能是人，其后常接介词in或动词不定式；interesting有主动意义，意为“能激发别人兴趣的”，其主语或所修饰的名词多为物或事，偶尔可为人，其后不接in或动词不定式。例如：
　The film is both interesting and instructive.　这部电影既有趣又有教育意义。
　I have been greatly interested to note that all the performers were female.　我注意到，所有的演员都是女性，这使我极感兴趣。
2. interested可作“有私心的，有偏见的”解，而interesting无此义。

1. 有些书读起来很有趣。
　［误］ Some books are interesting to be read.
　［正］ Some books are interesting to read.
　那里可以看到一些有趣的东西。
　［误］ There is something interesting to be seen.
　［正］ There is something interesting to see.
　［析］ 在"be interesting+to-v”的结构中，虽然不定式与句子主语构成动宾关系，但是应该用主动形式来表示其被动含义。
2. 这样就开始了一天紧张而有趣的活动。
　［误］ Thus began a whole day's interesting though tense activities.
　［正］ Thus began a whole day's tense but interesting activities.
　［析］ 汉语和英语都习惯说“紧张但是有趣的活动”，不大说“有趣但是紧张的活动”。因为在这种场合一般更强调interesting而不是tense.
