词组 let
释义 let
letv. [let] (lets;let;letting)
1. vt.让,使 allow to do or happen
2. vt. & vi.出租 rent
3. vt.

 ♣ let us, let's
3. let's的否定形式在美式英语中多用let's not,在英式英语中多用don't let's;let us的否定式在不包括对象在内时用don't let's;在包括对象在内时可用don't let us,也可用let us not.
Let's start early, shall we?
Please let us go, will you?
 ♣ let, let out
 ♣ let alone, leave alone
 参见alone条。
♣ let sb go, let oneself go
The boss let his secretary go.
The manager worked hard all week, but on Saturday night he went to countryside and let himself go.
 ♣ let go, leave go
1. let go后可直接接宾语,也可接of再加宾语;而leave go后必须接of再加宾语。
 ♣ let, admit, allow, permit
 参见admit条。
 ♣ let, hire, rent

Let me know when you are back.
Let me know when you'll be back.

 Let's don't forget.
3. let you and me当然是正确的,但在口语中,也可以说let you and I. 后者通常把you and I当作整体看待。例如:
Let you and I do it right now!

This house is to let.
This house is to be let.

I asked her if she had any rooms to let.
