　这组词都有“引用”的意思。它们的区别是：quote指引用原文或别人的原话、文章，也指摘引别人的内容或意思，并且说明出处，可以是为了证明自己的论点，也可以是为达到修饰特殊效果；cite指为了证明自己的论点或某一特定的原因而引证别人的话或词句；repeat只指重复别人的话或词句，不注明出处。 例如：

　这两个词都可表示“重复”。其区别是：repeat是日常用语，指一次或多次地重述某人的话或重复某种活动，有时也可转述别人的话；reiterate指“重申”，是正式用语，指反复地说，尤指将所作的陈述或所表示的态度一次又一次地重述，往往强调次数之多。例如：
　He asked us to repeat the sentence after him.　他让我们跟着他重复念这个句子。
　We reiterated our requests for better bus service.　我们一再申述对公共汽车服务进行改进的请求。
