 【答】 had better有两种否定形式。
 A.否定词not放在整个习语had better之后，即had better not：
 1. I’d better not disturb him.
 我最好不打扰他。
 2. We had better not begin just yet.
 我们最好不要现在就开始。
 3. He warned me that I had better not say anything about that.
 他警告我对这件事最好只字不提。
 4. You had better not ask him about it.
 你最好不要问他这件事。
 5. You had better not say it at once.
 你最好不要马上说这件事。
 6. We'd better not go until your sister come.
 在你妹妹到来之前，我们最好不要走。(或：最好等你妹妹到来我们再走。)

 B.否定词not放在had better的第一个词之后，即hadn’t better或had not better。这种形式一般用在疑问句里：
 1. Hadn't you better go with her?

 3. Had I not better take him upstairs and let him die down a little?
 把他带上楼，让他冷静一点儿，不是很好吗?
