1. glad of后一般跟无生命的东西，但在现代英语中也可以跟人。例如：
　This time we have been glad of them because they have left us alone.　这一次我们认为他们很不错，因为没人来管我们了。
2. 对于be glad+that-clause中， that从句如何分析，以往学者们的意见分歧很大：有人认为是状语从句，有人认为是宾语从句。不过现代学者尤倾向于认为是形容词的补语从句，因为只有补足这个从句，形容词的意思才完整。
