| 释义 | together with A number of books, including Bryson 1984, Heritage 1982, and Guth 1985, insist that together with is not equivalent to and, so that when together with tacks on another noun to a singular noun that is the subject of a sentence, the verb remains singular, as in this example: • The Corporation, together with Noranda Mines Limited, holds approximately 60% voting control — Annual Report, The Mead Corp., 1970 This is acceptable theory, and it usually works where the segment introduced by together with is clearly perceived as parenthetical. When it is not so perceived, as Scott, Foresman 1981 points out, usage is mixed. The only examples of additive together with that bear on this question are ones where the noun to which it is attached is singular and the verb is in the present or present perfect tense; in all others agreement does not reveal itself. As you might expect, revealing examples are not especially numerous, but what we have suggests that the dominant practice is probably the prescribed one.
