 【答】 apart from既可以表示“排除”、“例外”的含义(相当于except，except for)，也可以表示“包括”、“补充”的含义(相当于besides，as well as，in addition to)。
 A.表示“排除”、“例外”的含义
 1. No one knew that one of the aircraft’ s engines had failed，apart from the pilot.(Leech)
 除了飞行员外，谁也不知道有一个发动机出故障了。
 2. The children hardly see anyone，apart from their parents. (DAI)
 除了他们的父母，孩子们很少看见其他人。
 3. She had no money，apart from the five pounds that Christopher had given her.(EED)
 除了克里斯托弗给她的五英镑之外，她再也没有钱了。
 4. We had no trouble on the journey apart from a flat tyre. (Close)
 除了瘪了一个轮胎之外，我们旅途中就再没遇到什么麻烦。
 5. Apart from this consideration，there is no reason why we should not do so.
