 ♣ bus, coach
　在英式英语中， bus一般指行驶于市内的公交车；而coach一般指行驶于郊区的长途客运班车，不过这种区别已日趋消失。在美式英语中这两个词可互换，意思上没有明显区别。
 ♣ bus, automobile, car, lorry, taxi, truck

1. bus由外来词busse演变而来，变成复数时，可依英语可数变复数的规则变为buses，也可依busse变成busses.
2. bus有时还可用作动词表示“用公共汽车载送（尤指美国学校用车载送学生上学）”或“乘坐公共汽车”。例如：
　The city bus(s)ed the children to school.　这个城市用公共汽车载送儿童上学。
