【答】 上引两部书的说法基本上是正确的，但是，需要加以补充。CGEL指出：“We can see ametaphorical appropriateness in bring up for‘educate’ ... ”(“我们可能看到bring up的一个恰当的比喻用法：‘教育’。”)这就是说，bring up除了指“家庭教育”之外，还可指“社会教育”、“学校教育”、“宗教教育”以及“党的教育”：
