5. at last也在主观上有“等了好久才…”的含义，但语气上比finally强得多，且at last也可以作感叹语。例如：

 ♣ no end, no end of
　这两个短语意思不同，前者的意思是“非常”“极其”，后者的意思是“大量的”“无限的”。例如：

 ♣ without end, to no end

　end　只是一般性地说明结束时的情况，而end up起到加强语气的效果，往往用来强调事物发展的最后结局。试比较：
