　这两个词都有“重载，负担”的意思，并且都可指精神上的负担。其区别是：
1. load是普通用语，本义指人、畜、车辆、船只或飞机所负荷的东西；burden很少具体地指物质的东西，多指压得人喘不过气的重负。例如：
　She bore the burden of raising two children.　她挑起抚养两个孩子的重担。
2. load多指积极意义的承担，而burden多指消极意义的承担。例如：
