我看不出这道试题有什么错误。请指教。

【答】 出题者的解释是：在正式英语里，available，obtainable，suitable，作修饰语时应放在名词之后，故C应改为“no tickets available”。

但是，我们认为，出这样的题，是不恰当的。因为像available这样的形容词作定语时，放在名词之前或之后，并不是强制性的，而是选择性的。虽然在ALD中上面句子里的available放在名词之后，但这并不等于说把它放在名词之前就一定是错误的。请考察下面的例句：

1. Every fire-engine available was rushed to the scene(or every available fire-engine).(L.G. Alexander，English Grammatical Structure，P. 154)

能用上的所有的救火车都冲到火灾现场。

2. the best person available～the best available person(CGEL)

所能得到的最好的人
