 【答】 使用enter into the room这样的组合,是我们中国人常犯的一个错误,学过德、俄文等外语的人尤其如此。应当牢记,enter在作“进入”解时,是个及物动词,后面不能跟介词in或into等等,属正式语体:
 1. The boy Robert entered college that autumn. (Lewis)
 那年秋天这个叫罗伯特的男孩进了大学。
 2. I had entered the clinic on the previous Saturday afternoon. (Snow)
 上星期六下午我去了诊所。
 3. This would solve the problem of ventilation,for if a train entered this tunnel,it woulddraw in fresh air behind it. (NCE 2,L.64)
 这样就可以解决通风问题,因为如果火车开进隧道,它后面就会带进新鲜空气。enter into的意思是:开始(讨论、谈判等等),签订(合同、婚约等等),参与(政治等等):
