“问[259]在改86年全国统考研究生英语试卷时，我觉得第70题的标准答案似乎有误，题目是：昨晚如果他来了，问题也许已得到解决。标准答案为If he had come yester-day evening，the question might have been solved.对于标准答案把“问题”一词选用了question，并和solved搭配，我表示质疑。一般我们应用problem，这样和solve搭配才对。和question搭配的动词一般应为answer，decide也可以，但我从未见过用solve和question搭配的，是否我少见多怪了，望赐教。

【答】 问者和答者提出将标准答案中的the question改为the problem，我并不反对。但是，他们说question与solve不能搭配，我却不敢苟同。实际上，question与solve是经常搭配使用的。例如：
