 我的教科书上说，get sth.done是指让别人做某事，例如，I must get my hair cut.(我该理发了。)，He got his bicycle repaired.(他把自行车送去修理了。)不知上题中的答案to get it started是否指让别人开动了汽车?
 【答】 一般说来，get sth. done可能有三种含义：
 A.让别人做某事
 1. I am trying get it published. (Yeats)
 我竭力让它出版。
 2. I can't get the work done by anybody.
 我找不到人来干这个工作。
 B.自己完成某事(或自己参与完成某事)：
 1. The farmer got his planting done before the rains came. (ALD)
 这位农民在雨季来临之前干完了他的种植工作。
 2. I can’t get the car started. (LDCE)
 我无法把汽车开动起来。
 3. Did you get the picture finished all right? (Wilde)
 你顺利地完成了那幅画了吗?
 看来，上面考题中的to get it started属于此种用法。
